In the quiet language of Korean tradition, no garden is ever only a garden. Every bloom, every wing, every stone carries a wish, inlaid by hand and carried forward from one generation to the next.
At the center of this piece stands the crane — one of Korea's Sipjangsaeng, the Ten Symbols of Longevity, said to live a thousand years and to choose a single mate for life. To hold a crane rendered in mother-of-pearl is to hold, quite literally, a wish for a life — and a love — that does not end.
Beneath its feet, the rock endures. Another of the Ten Symbols, unmoved by wind or season, it stands for permanence itself: the promise that what is built with care today will still be standing generations from now.
Around them, the lotus opens untouched by the mud it grows from — Korea's ancient emblem of purity and renewal. Beside it, the peony, long honored as the 'king of flowers,' carries wishes of prosperity, dignity, and a household that flourishes with each passing year.
Above them all, butterflies drift between the blossoms. In Korean symbolism, a butterfly among flowers is never mere decoration — it is a wish for a joy that returns again and again, and for a companionship that grows only deeper with age.

Before your commission begins, our Collector Concierge shares the Master's proposed design and pattern for your specific piece. Only once you have reviewed and given your approval does the Master's hand begin its work — ensuring that the masterpiece born for you exists, in form and spirit, for you alone.
