SHIPPING POLICY

At Signature Legacy, we present museum-grade Korean masterworks, heritage crafts, and limited editions that often require specialized handling, careful packaging, and, in some cases, extended production time. This Shipping Policy explains how we process, pack, and ship orders placed through our store.
1. GLOBAL SHIPPING
We offer international shipping to many destinations worldwide.
Because many Signature Legacy works are high-value, fragile, handmade, or one-of-a-kind, we use trusted premium carriers such as DHL Express, FedEx, UPS, EMS, or other appropriate logistics partners, depending on the destination, value of the work, package requirements, and customs conditions.
Available shipping methods may vary by country, order type, and artwork category.
2. ORDER TYPES AND PROCESSING TIMES
A. Ready-to-ship works
Ready-to-ship items are typically dispatched within 3–5 business days after order confirmation and successful payment processing.
B. Made-to-order works
Made-to-order works are created or completed after your order is placed. Production timelines vary depending on the master artisan, materials, finishing process, and workshop schedule. In most cases, production takes approximately 4–12 weeks.
C. Limited editions, custom works, and selected artisan works
Certain works, including limited editions, individually allocated works, workshop-scheduled pieces, or specially finished artisan works, may require approximately 2–4 months before dispatch.
Where applicable, the estimated production or dispatch schedule will be stated on the relevant product page or communicated to you after purchase.
Please note that all timelines are estimates only and may be affected by artisan workflow, drying or curing time, kiln schedules, material conditions, national holidays, weather, customs review, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
3. PACKAGING AND HANDLING
Each work is packed with great care to help protect it during international transit.
Depending on the nature of the work, packaging may include:
- reinforced outer cartons,
- protective wrapping,
- shock-absorbing materials,
- moisture-protection layers,
- custom interior supports, and
- wooden crating or reinforced packaging where appropriate.
Our goal is to ensure that each work arrives as safely as possible while respecting the condition, materials, and presentation of the piece.
4. INSURANCE, DECLARED VALUE, AND SIGNATURE DELIVERY
For many high-value orders, we arrange insured shipping or declared-value coverage where available and appropriate through the selected carrier or logistics provider.
Signature upon delivery may be required for certain shipments, especially for high-value, fragile, limited, or one-of-a-kind works.
We reserve the right to select the shipping method and service level that we believe is most secure and appropriate for the work and destination.
5. ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES AFTER DISPATCH
After dispatch, estimated transit times are typically as follows:
- North America: approximately 3–7 business days
- Europe / United Kingdom: approximately 3–8 business days
- Asia-Pacific: approximately 2–7 business days
- Other destinations: timing varies depending on route, customs processing, and local carrier conditions
Remote areas, islands, rural zones, or customs-sensitive destinations may require additional time.
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
6. CUSTOMS, DUTIES, VAT, AND IMPORT CHARGES
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, handling charges, or other local charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, import inspections, local regulations, or unpaid duties and taxes.
If a shipment is refused, abandoned, or returned due to unpaid customs charges, failed delivery attempts, or recipient inaction, any original shipping charges, return shipping charges, customs charges, storage fees, and related losses may be deducted from any refund to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. ADDRESS ACCURACY
Please ensure that your shipping address, recipient name, phone number, and email address are complete and accurate at the time of purchase.
We are not responsible for delays, failed delivery, or losses resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable shipping information provided by the customer.
We may be unable to ship to certain P.O. boxes, military addresses, forwarding services, or locations that the carrier considers restricted or high-risk.
8. TRACKING
Once your order has been dispatched, we will send a shipping confirmation email that includes tracking information, where available.
Please note that tracking updates may not appear immediately and may depend on carrier scanning and destination-country systems.
9. DELIVERY DELAYS
We are not liable for shipping or delivery delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- customs inspections,
- severe weather,
- transportation disruption,
- carrier backlog,
- labor disputes,
- public holidays,
- political events,
- force majeure events, or
- delays caused by local delivery partners.
10. DAMAGED, LOST, OR INCORRECT SHIPMENTS
Please inspect your package promptly upon delivery.
If your order arrives visibly damaged, appears to have been mishandled in transit, or if you receive the wrong item, please contact us at concierge@signaturelegacy.co within 48 hours of delivery.
Please include:
1) your order number,
2) photographs of the outer packaging,
3) photographs of the inner packaging,
4) clear photographs of the item received, and
5) a brief description of the issue.
If a package appears lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review the shipment status and, where applicable, work with the carrier to initiate an investigation or claim process.
Resolution may depend on carrier procedures, documentation, and the circumstances of the shipment.
11. SPLIT SHIPMENTS
Some orders may be shipped in multiple packages or at different times, particularly where an order includes works with different production schedules, packaging requirements, or workshop completion dates.
If this applies to your order, we will communicate the shipping arrangement where reasonably possible.
